FlickCabin.com - has used around 299GB+ of bandwidth this month, it wasn’t what I really expected, however bandwidth for the last few days literally has been literally increasing and increasing in such a way the service is not getting enough back for what is being used. I’m thinking of changing the service a bit, so that your image will have a limit to how much bandwidth it can use and it will be temporarily suspended for say like a day and will automatically be unsuspended after it goes off it’s bandwidth usage. However this is only an option in mind if the bandwidth usage goes to high. I mean if the service starts using 1TB of bandwidth, the it simply wouldn’t be worth keeping it up and I think I would have to sell it. Though I cannot wait until we introduce the new and improved FlickCabin, which will include limitations as well as a registration service.  :)

Pornography is not allowed

Posted by Flick

I just went through nearly over 2000 files, and I deleted quite a lot of pornography. Just to make it clear, we DO NOT allow pornography, and we do not endorse it, please find an adult image host if you want to upload your pornography. Otherwise it will just get deleted over and over and your posts which you post the porn on, will be significant to nothing. I suggest you do not upload anything else which coincides with pornagraphic images or you will get banned from our network. We even clearly state in our terms of service that we do not strictly allow pornagraphic materials! So please do not upload it otherwise you will just be wasting your time and we can actually see the website our image hosting is referring from and we will blacklist every website which we come accross which uploads pornagraphic materials from our host to your web forums.

Thanks.

Traffic going up

Posted by Flick

As time is going by, FlickCabin is getting more and more unique visitors thus why we are showing you how much traffic we are getting and also how much bandwidth our service is consuming. Today we reached actually quite a peak in the number of unique visitors, we reached around 800+ visitor(s) just TODAY and the day has not even ended, I’m hoping we reach at least 900 unique visitors; we also consumed a total of 20GB of bandwidth in just one day, making the total usage of 120GB+ of bandwidth. Even if FlickCabin doesn’t make as much money which is being paid out for the free service through ads, we have a dedicated server which is shared on another service we provide and in total we have 2 terabytes of bandwidth which can be consumed, if we run out, we simply buy more. :)

(Click to make the image bigger)

We seem to be doing quite well in getting visitors, hopefully we can get some money from the ads to improve our service and enhance it with public galleries and user registration for those who want to store all their information and data on our service. - Thus if we actually do bring this along, you will be able to upload documents from such software which Microsoft produce. (Microsoft: Word and a long line of other products which will be allowed to upload to our services)

This is actually an independent source from which we have recorded the visitors and from what you can see on our main website, which you can click and see how many visitors we get. - It’s quite a useful tool and we thank such service being around; it’s awesome and the best thing it’s free! - Also we can’t actually fake from the service (’If we’d even like to’) the amount visitors we get, so all from what you see on that website which monitors visitors; is totally the true amount. Furthermore ‘images’ are also not recorded from this service, what I mean is that cPanel Aw Stats, counts the number if images (From which we host) as visitors coming to our main website, from which isn’t actually true. So this service shows the true amount, as we have to of course put an ad-code on the front page in order for this service to work!

Hello,

As of today, FlickCabin.com has reached a record for FlickCabin itself, it’s reached something which normal users of FlickCabin may not know about; however it’s a benchmark to what we at FlickCabin offer. We have actually reached the 100GB bandwidth mark, meaning have used 100GB of premium bandwidth line for our services, we can go even higher than this as this is just a small amount. However this does show us that our service is being used in a big way as we get hundreds of hits per day from unique people to people keeping who have used our services and have come back to use it! I’m also hoping the pagerank will increase for FlickCabin.com due to the high amount of images being hosted in peoples signatures on forums, myspace, blogs and a whole line of Internet usage, thus with this market of pagerank in place we can actually sell banners on our website!

The newest picture at FlickCabin is this one:

Not exactly sure what it is, however it links a Russian military website… I think it’s a conspiracy, the Russians are taking over! :)

Second latest image to be hosted:

Third latest image to be hosted:

The guy above is actually my third favourite actor, so kudos to the person who uploaded this picture! - I’m also going to watch his latest film, you know what it’s called, Indiana Jones!

Welcome to the new FlickCabin.net blog! This blog is a sister website in partnership with the same guys at ‘FlickCabin.com‘. I was actually going to turn this into a sister site of an enhanced version of FlickCabin.com, with registration available for uploading files/images however I came to the conclusion it would be much more easier to run one image host as opposed to two sister sites… due to marketing and hosting needs needed to run a service like FlickCabin.COM.

With that above said, I’m loving the new wordpress version, as I haven’t updated my blog with this version, the whole layout looks very web 2.0 and nicer than the old version. Moving on, this blog will bassically be giving you information on FlickCabin.com and it services and perhaps if we decide to upgrade FlickCabin.com to a service where registration will be allowed along with public upload being available.
